It wasn’t easy. It wasn’t graceful. But it was true.
I learned to lean in—
to move with the discomfort instead of against it.
To dance with the pain so it wouldn’t feel alone.
I bowed to the moment.
Dipped my fingers into water.
Exhaled, slowly.
And in that still place,
I felt love—for myself.
And there I remain.
